The pearls of orienteering
Swiss Orienteering Days are small orienteering events that offer you an experience in the Swiss Alps with a pinch of adventure. The Swiss O Days will take you to wonderful and fascinating terrain. Why not spend a weekend in a remote corner of Switzerland and enjoy a small but special orienteering experience?
There are Swiss O Days that you can reach easily with a cable car or even drive to. At other Swiss O Days the walk to the assembly area or the start is part of the mountain experience. The orienteering is then the icing on the cake.
Swiss O Days take place only in those years when there is no Swiss O Week and help addicts of mountain orienteering avoid withdrawal symptoms between SOWs.
The Swiss O Days participants have a close relationship with nature and appreciate the simple organisation and the extra responsibility for themselves. They accept that restricted transport capacity can lead to longer waiting times and that the remoteness of the terrain can lead to long walks in and even a restriction on the number of participants.
In order to ensure that the mountains and the orienteering can really be enjoyed, the Swiss O Days normally only take place when the weather is reasonable.
